POISSANTGALLERY will host an art exhibition, as well as a fashion show/benefit auction to raise funds to preserve the culture and teachings of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. This important project will keep alive the spiritual legacy of the Buddhist teachings of Tibet, transmitted from teacher to student for over two thousand years. This effort is important because of the past and current systematic destruction of Tibetan culture, which has decimated monasteries and teachings. These transformational methods and practices will be lost unless concerned individuals make an effort to collect and preserve this vital information and culture.

The art exhibition opens on Friday, March 11, 2005, from 6-9 PM, and will feature donated works by several well-collected local artists, as well as new talent from the U.S. and abroad. Also on March 11, 2005, Fashionistas IV, a fashion show curated by Catherine Anspon (social and fine arts editor for PaperCity magazine) and benefit auction will take place. The gallery opens at 6 PM for the silent auction. The fashion show will begin at 7 PM, and the live auction will start at 8 PM. The fun will continue all evening and drinks will be liberally served.  Admission to the fashion show/auction will be $25.

Monetary contributions are requested. Diamond Way Buddhist Centers USA is a nonprofit, 501(3)(c) corporation, all donations are tax deductible as allowed under the law.
